Dr. Abhijit Bhattacharjee, Assistant Professor & Head (i/c), Department of English, School of Humanities & Social Sciences, Techno India University, Tripura \r\n\r\nabhijit.b@tiut.ac.in\r\n\r\nDr. Abhijit Bhattacharjee is a scholar of twentieth-century literature and philosophy. His doctoral dissertation, "Mysticism in Henry Miller's Fiction: A Study of Select Novels" (Tripura University, 2026), offers the first sustained monographic account of Henry Miller's mysticism as a desacralized, embodied, and immanent philosophical practice, drawing on Deleuze and Guattari, Bataille, Certeau, and affect theory. His research interests include late modernism, twentieth-century world literatures, the philosophy of embodiment, and the cross-cultural dimensions of literary mysticism. In 2025 he was awarded the Nexus International Scholarship to present at the international conference Henry Miller in the Twenty-First Century, Asilomar, California, organised by Nexus: The International Henry Miller Journal and the Henry Miller Memorial Library, Big Sur. He received a Gold Medal for Oral Presentation at IYRCSC-2025, Assam University, Silchar. He received the Best Teacher Award in 2026 conferred on him by the Hon’ble Chancellor of TIUT for his academic and student service. He has published in Nexus: The International Henry Miller Journal, Labyrinth, and the Journal of Language, Literature and Culture and other prestigious literary journals. He holds an M.A. in English (Gold Medal, first rank) and a B.A. English Honours (first rank) from Tripura University, and is UGC NET and SLET qualified. He has nearly nine years of teaching experience across universities, colleges, and professional institutes, and currently teaches literature, communicative English, soft skills, and film studies at TIUT.\r\nOutside the classroom, he is an avid cyclist.
