Dr. Suman Kalyan Nath
Dr. Suman Kalyan Nath serves as the Dean (In-Charge) and Associate Professor in the School of Health Science and Translation Research at Techno India University, Tripura. With over fifteen years of academic experience in Haematology and Blood Banking, he has distinguished himself as a committed educator, researcher, and academic leader in the field of medical laboratory sciences. Prior to joining Techno India University, Dr. Nath held several academic positions at the Tripura Institute of Paramedical Sciences (TIPS) and also gained five years of industrial experience in reputed diagnostic and biotechnological organizations such as Cryobanks International India, enriching his expertise in clinical diagnostics and laboratory medicine. He holds a Ph.D. in Medical Laboratory Technology from Assam down town University and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Science (D.Sc.) in the same discipline. His research focuses on hematological and biochemical alterations influenced by lifestyle, diet, stress, and physiological conditions such as the menstrual cycle and exercise, along with extensive studies on anemia, nutrition, and occupational health among diverse populations in Tripura. Dr. Nath has published widely in reputed national and international journals and serves as a reviewer and executive editor for several scientific publications. A dedicated mentor, he has guided numerous student research projects, organized academic workshops, and actively participated in faculty development programmes and conferences across India. His teaching interests include Haematology, Blood Banking, Clinical Pathology, Clinical Biochemistry, and Research Methodology, emphasizing the integration of theory with hands-on laboratory practice. A life member of the Indian Science Congress Association, The Physiological Society of India, ICMLS, and AIMLTA, Dr. Nath continues to contribute to the advancement of allied health sciences through his innovative research, academic leadership, and dedication to quality education.
