Dr. Krishna Deb

Dr. Krishna Deb is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics, School of Natural Sciences at Techno India University, Tripura. He specializes in Condensed Matter Physics and Electronics, with a particular research focus on Low-Dimensional Semiconductor Physics and Flexible Electronic Devices.He earned his Ph.D. in Physics from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Agartala in 2020, where his doctoral research under Dr. Biswajit Saha explored the “Charge Transport Properties of Polyaniline Synthesized on Flexible Cellulose Substrate.” His work contributes to the development of next-generation organic semiconductors and flexible electronic materials.Before joining TIUT, Dr. Deb served as a Technical Assistant at NIT Agartala for over twelve years, gaining extensive experience in laboratory operations, academic support, and applied research in solid-state and electronic materials.Dr. Deb’s research output includes 28 publications in reputed international journals such as the Journal of Physical Chemistry C, RSC Advances, and Surfaces and Interfaces. His scholarly work has advanced understanding in organic semiconductors, charge transport phenomena, and nano-electronic device physics.At TIUT, Dr. Deb is deeply involved in teaching and mentoring undergraduate students, integrating fundamental physics with practical and emerging applications. He regularly teaches courses in Engineering Physics, Solid State Physics, Electromagnetism, Quantum Mechanics, Classical Mechanics, and Mathematical Physics.Beyond academics, Dr. Deb is passionate about scientific communication and curriculum innovation, striving to make physics education more application-oriented and research-driven. He is also an Editorial Board Member of the Journal Polymer, reflecting his recognition in the global scientific community.Through his research excellence, teaching dedication, and interdisciplinary approach, Dr. Krishna Deb embodies TIUT’s commitment to advancing scientific innovation and establishing itself as a leading institution of higher learning in Tripura and Northeast India.
