Dr. Durba Pal is an Assistant Professor in the School of Fisheries at Techno India University, Tripura, specializing in Fish Processing Technology. She holds a B.F.Sc. from the College of Fisheries, Central Agricultural University, and both her M.F.Sc. and Ph.D. in Fish Processing Technology from the West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences (WBUAFS).\r\nHer research focuses on value addition in fish and fishery products, food safety, preservation techniques, waste utilization, and sustainable post-harvest technologies. Her doctoral work involved the development and storage stability of instant noodles fortified with Mozambique tilapia (Oreochromis mossambicus) surimi powder, contributing to innovations in nutritionally enhanced fish-based foods.\r\nAn ICAR-NET qualified scholar, Dr. Pal has received Junior Research Fellowships, merit scholarships, and has undergone advanced training at prestigious institutions including NIFPHATT (Cochin), SIFT (Kakinada), and CIFE (Mumbai). She has published several peer-reviewed research papers and actively participated in seminars and workshops across India.\r\nBefore joining TIUT, Dr. Pal served as a Guest Faculty at Chhattisgarh Kamdhenu Vishwavidyalaya, a Junior Research Fellow under the ICAR-funded COE-FAB Project at the College of Fisheries, Lembucherra, and as a Livelihood Coordinator under the Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission.\r\nThrough her expertise, research contributions, and commitment to innovation in fish processing and post-harvest fisheries, Dr. Pal continues to advance TIUT’s mission of academic excellence and applied research, positioning it as a leading centre of higher education and innovation in Tripura.
