Dr. Wangkheimayum Malemnganbi Devi

Dr. Wangkheimayum Malemnganbi Devi is an Assistant Professor in the School of Fisheries at Techno India University, Tripura, specializing in Aquatic Animal Health Management with research interests in Microbiology, Antimicrobial Therapy, and Immunology. A native of Manipur, she earned her B.F.Sc., M.F.Sc., and Ph.D. in Aquatic Animal Health Management from the Central Agricultural University (CAU), where she was awarded the University Gold Medal for her Master’s program.\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\r\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\nShe has successfully qualified the ICAR–ASRB NET (Fish Health) in 2021. Her research explores probiotics, nutraceuticals, and fish disease resistance, particularly in Labeo rohita, contributing to improved aquaculture health management. Dr. Malemnganbi has seven research publications, along with a review paper, book chapter, and popular articles, and has presented her work at multiple national and international seminars. She received the Best Poster Presentation Award at the 1st Indian Fisheries Outlook (IFO) in 2022.\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\r\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\nWith two years of teaching experience as a Teaching Assistant at the College of Fisheries, Lembucherra, and fourteen months as a Young Professional-II under NSPAAD Phase-II, she brings both academic and field-level expertise. Her teaching repertoire includes Fundamentals of Microbiology, Soil and Water Chemistry, Fish Nutrition and Feed Technology, and Biochemistry & Food Chemistry.\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\r\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\nDedicated to advancing research in aquatic health and sustainable fisheries, Dr. Malemnganbi Devi continues to contribute meaningfully to TIUT’s mission of academic excellence, innovation, and leadership in fisheries education—further strengthening the University’s standing as a premier institution in Tripura.
