Dr. Debasish Debbarma

Dr. Debasish Debbarma is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography and Disaster Management, School of Natural Sciences, at Techno India University, Tripura. He holds a Ph.D. in Geography and possesses additional academic qualifications including an M.Sc. and B.Ed., with specialization in Regional Planning and Development, Urban Geography, and Transport Geography.\r\nWith over eight years of teaching and research experience, Dr. Debbarma’s academic interests lie in understanding urban systems, transportation networks, and regional development dynamics within the framework of sustainable and inclusive planning. His research explores the interconnections between spatial organization, human mobility, and socio-environmental challenges in rapidly urbanizing regions.\r\nDr. Debbarma has contributed to academia through numerous research publications, conference presentations, and community outreach initiatives focusing on environmental awareness, spatial analysis, and disaster resilience. His teaching philosophy integrates conceptual clarity with practical applications, encouraging students to critically examine real-world geographical problems through data-driven and field-based approaches.\r\nBeyond academics, he is actively involved in promoting geographical education and awareness about environmental sustainability.
