She holds a Ph.D. in Geography from the North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Shillong, where her doctoral research explored “The Impact of Climate Change on the Temporal Occurrence of Landslides in South Sikkim.” Her academic foundation was built at Presidency University, Kolkata, where she completed her B.Sc. (Presidency College, University of Calcutta) and M.Sc. in Geography with specialization in Fluvial Geomorphology. She qualified the UGC-NET with Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in 2016.\r\nBefore joining TIUT, Dr. Naskar served as a Research Assistant at Aliah University, Kolkata, under the International Science Partnerships Fund (ISPF), British Council (UK) in collaboration with ICSSR, Government of India, on the project “Exploring Policy Mobility for Local Solutions and Community Resilience through Natural Flood Management.” She also worked with the Netaji Institute for Asian Studies, Kolkata, on disaster-related research focusing on the disaster scenario in India with reference to West Bengal.\r\nHer research interests include geomorphology, landslide studies, climate change impacts, river dynamics, and geospatial technology applications in environmental analysis and disaster risk reduction. Dr. Naskar has published research papers in reputed peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of Indian Geomorphology and Asian Studies and co-authored a book chapter on climate change impacts in the Indian Sundarbans. She has presented her work at prestigious international and national conferences, including the 37th International Geological Congress (Busan, South Korea, 2024) and the International Association of Geomorphologists (IAG) Women in Geomorphology Workshop (2025).\r\nBeyond research, Dr. Naskar has undertaken specialized training programs in geospatial analysis, mountain hazard management, geotechnical investigations, and ecosystem-based disaster risk reduction from leading institutes in India and abroad.
