Techno India University, Tripura (TIUT) hosted its grand freshers’ welcome, TIUT Fiesta 2.0, on 24th September 2025 at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan Hall I, Agartala, celebrating culture, creativity, and community spirit. The event was graced by Shri Kishor Barman, Hon’ble Minister, Department of Higher Education, Panchayat and G.A. (Political), Government of Tripura, as Chief Guest; Padma Shri Prof. Arunoday Saha, Former Vice-Chancellor, Tripura University, as Guest of Honour; and Er. Paramananda Sarkar Banerjee, Chairman, Institution of Engineers (India), Tripura State Centre, as Special Guest. The presence of Mr. Kunal Ganguly, Director, Techno India Group, Kolkata; Dr. Dibakar Deb, Principal, Techno College of Engineering Agartala; Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Krishna Saha, Dean of Academic Affairs, TIUT; and Prof. (Dr.) Dilip Sarkar, Dean of Humanities and Social Sciences & Dean of Students’ Welfare, added further significance to the occasion, presided over by Prof. (Dr.) Ratan Kumar Saha, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, TIUT. The programme featured captivating performances, including the opening dance drama “Shaktirupeno Sansthita”, melodious songs, dynamic dances, a lively fashion show, and indigenous cultural showcases celebrating Tripura’s ethnic diversity. The evening culminated with electrifying performances by Ms. Parmita Reang & Band and the Meghbalika Band, filling the hall with youthful enthusiasm and cultural pride. More than a festivity, Fiesta 2.0 embodied TIUT’s spirit of unity in diversity and student engagement. The University expressed heartfelt gratitude to Hon’ble Chancellor Shri Satyam Roy Chowdhury for his visionary leadership and to Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Ratan Kumar Saha for his constant encouragement in enriching student life at TIUT.
